Battery Health & Notification Pop-up Guide for iPhone
1. For iPhone 5S to iPhone X, battery health will be displayed normally with no pop-up notification after a battery replacement. (Models: For iPhone 5s, SE1, 6, 6 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus, 7, 7 Plus, 8, 8 Plus, X.)
2. For iPhone XR and newer models, if running iOS 18.1 or later, it will display battery health and have no pop-up notification after a battery replacement. (Models: For iPhone SE2, XR, XS, XS Max, 11 series, 12 series, 13 series, 14 series, 15 series and newer.)
3. For running iOS versions below 18.1 on iPhone XR/ newer models, battery health will not display in Settings (may show as “—”, “Unknown Part”, or blank) and a pop-up will appear. Health data can be checked via i4 Assistant. (Models: For iPhone SE2, XR, XS, XS Max, 11 series, 12 series, 13 series, 14 series, 15 series and newer.)
4. The pop-up is for a temporary Apple system notice, usually lasting about 7 days (occasionally longer for a few) to alert that a non-genuine battery was installed. It is not permanent and will disappear afterward.
5. Battery health can be monitored with i4 Assistant, but checking once a year is enough if daily performance is good.
